Atlas Framework

Software development from scratch is an arduous and sometimes unnecessary process. We realised shortly after completing our first half a dozen projects that the majority of our customers required similar functionality in their bespoke software applications. This led us to the conclusion that we should create a proprietary framework consisting of a number of standard reusable modules.

We now boast a collection of customisable modules including:

  • Security – user log in, Microsoft Windows Active Directory integration, user groups and group based permissions, field level permissions
  • Web hosting – our framework can run online which is ideal for remote or a distributed workforce, and also offline on a local area network
  • Document management – Document generation, workflow and document storage
  • Risk management – workflow processes to manage change and full data auditing
  • Task lists –powerful Microsoft Outlook style task list management
  • Calendar – Microsoft Outlook style shared calendars for individual users

While the Framework is not suitable for all applications, we will review each new project and when suitable offer up our Atlas Framework modules. This Atlas Framework approach offers a number of advantages over standard software development. For example:

  • We can provide a proof of concept application based on our framework demonstrating the exact functionality we will make available in your completed bespoke application
  • Our development efforts are simplified reducing the risk of software bugs and speeding up development time
  • Our framework based applications come with a built in update functionality allowing us to distribute software updates quickly and easily
  • Ongoing improvements are constantly made to our Framework. Customers using our Framework are entitled to receive ongoing improvements to their software free of charge as they become available

Please get in touch to discuss your requirements. We would be delighted to provide an informal assessment as to whether the Atlas Framework could make your next development project that little bit easier
